Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has taken his talent to the same place NBA champion LeBron James and blockbuster actor Will Smith are by teaming up with Creative Artists Agency.

Details on Ye's new signing to the Hollywood-leading talent agency surfaced online Thursday (July 19).

Kanye West and his longtime agent Cara Lewis have been reunited at CAA. The superstar rapper had been previously represented by Lewis at William Morris Endeavor, where her client roster also included Eminem, Rihanna, Cee Lo Green, Common, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, B.o.B. and Soulja Boy. She joined CAA in January of 2012. In the days and weeks following her WME departure, it was debated whether West would follow. His arrival is a significant boost to CAA's already thriving music department (headed by Rob Light) in no small part because West's most recent tour, Watch the Throne, with label-mate Jay-Z, has gone down in history as the highest grossing hip-hop trek of all time. In 2011, Ye's ex-girlfriend Amber Rose revealed she joined CAA.

"I did NOT get dropped from FORD Models my contract was up now I'm with CAA @Shelterok don't believe everything u read babe :-)," Rose tweeted Monday (February 7). (Amber Rose's Twitter)

Two years ago, former Ruff Ryders rapper Eve inked a deal to the talent agency.

Multihyphenate Eve has signed with CAA in all areas. On TV, Eve most recently guest-starred in several episodes of "Glee," and she has appeared on "Third Watch" and "Numbers." Her self-titled UPN sitcom ran from 2003-06. Eve's long-delayed fourth album is due this year, and she also is relaunching her fashion line, Fetish, with People's Liberation founder Danny Guez. The rapper-actress is additionally repped by Jon Shank at Azoff, Geary, Paul Management and attorney Aaron Rosenberg at MAFG. Eve moved from CAA to William Morris in 2002 and recently left WME.
