Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame recently reflected on his sophomore album Triple F Life's content and what type of lasting feeling it left for fans.

Proud of the LP's overall presentation, Flocka said most people felt he displayed growth on his star-studded release.

Waka's next project will be his Salute Me or Shoot Me Vol. 4 mixtape. In the meantime, he's still swimming in the positive feedback from his latest studio effort. "Triple F Life was a great album for me," he said. "A lot of people love the album, and they're like, 'Waka's really showing development; he really developed as an artist.' I appreciate the comments I got off it, and now I'm about to drop a mixtape for the streets, because the streets need that." (MTV)

The album debuted in the Top 10 upon its release last month.

Recently, rap veteran 8Ball credited artists like Waka for helping fill hip-hop's void.

"I'm not downplaying nobody when I say whatever I say, it's just my opinion on what I feel that I'm doing and what the world is doing. But whatever these young cats wanna rap about, whatever kind of music they wanna make, it's on them because that's still the shit that's shaping tomorrow. Like I said, it's necessary. All of that is necessary. We wouldn't have the Big K.R.I.T.'s and the Lupe Fiasco's and the Kanye West's if we didn't have the Future's and the Waka Flocka [Flame's] and the cats like them." (HHDX)

Back in April, Flocka confirmed nixing past plans to retire this year.

"I'm on my second one, so the third one might be true," Flocka said when asked about retiring after a third LP. "I don't know. The way they treat me, I spent my lifetime trying to do this. I don't see myself quitting no more, it's over for that. On to the next one." (Hip Hop Wired)
