Everybody checkin' for Hov. Even discount retail giant TJ Maxx, who, instead of taking some time to straighten up their notoriously cluttered stores, opted to clarify a Jigga line from the recently released track "3 Kings," by MMG don Rick Ross.

Seems Jigga's memory is beginning to fail him in his older years, as the iconic MC took some time to ponder exactly what year TJ Max opened its doors. Hey, when you've been rappin' since the 80s, eventually you run out of things to talk about, I guess.

After dropping a line referencing T.J. Maxx, the retailer reached out to Jay-Z letting him know a bit of background on the company. Rick Ross certainly took the hip hop community by storm yesterday when he released his much anticipated Dr. Dre and Jay-Z assisted "3 Kings" single. Jay-Z referenced T.J. Maxx in the line "Used to shop at T.J. Maxx back in '83, I don't even know if it was open then..."(The Versed)

Not gonna front -- if you've got 3 hours to spare, you can find some dope sh*t in TJ Maxx. Anyway, the store took Jay's name drop as an opportunity to reach out to The Big Homie via Twitter. No beef, but they did let him know that, yes, they've been offering customers low prices on designer shirts with one sleeve longer than the other since 1977.

Hey @S_C_, thanks for the shout out! We opened in March 1977 and have been keeping stylish men in designer labels for less ever since. (RapRadar)

Check out the Jigga verse here, and let us know if you think Jay will thank Maxx for their moment of clarity....
