Grammy-winning singer Rihanna recently dished out details on her personal life and why she is not ready to let people get too close to her following a publicized 2009 split from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

RiRi said since falling in love once before, she is not yet ready to experience the feeling of heartbreak again.

"[I'm] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair. I have been conservative in my love life. ... It's pretty much nonexistent. ... If I come across someone who I find really cool, I'll hang out. But the minute I find that we're getting too close I just -- I don't let people in. ... When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye, my whole life changed. ... Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I'd feel that pain in my life. I'm afraid of feeling that again." (Harper's Bazaar)

In March, RiRi shut down rumors surrounding an alleged relationship with Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher.

At a London press conference for "Battleship," a reporter used her one question with the pop star to ask about the alleged rendezvous. After meandering around about Ri's fans and their love for her, she eventually got to her point: Would she get any visits from Kutcher while out promoting the film? The singer's response? Well, she wasn't amused. "Wow, how disappointing was that question," she said in a video posted on the website. "I'm happy and I'm single, if that's what you're really asking." (MTV)

Earleir this year, she discussed her romance woes as a single female celebrity.

"I'm not looking, [but] I would not tell you that [being single] is something to enjoy. Single life is just so overrated. It sucks. You always want to be single when you're in a relationship, but it's no bueno," she tells Jonathan Ross. As for why the beautiful pop star wants to find a man sooner rather than later, Rihanna reveals, "I think that I have such incredible experiences that, you don't want to live your life and meet someone; you want to share your life with someone. That's what I'm missing right now." Rihanna's list of things she's looking for in a man isn't a long one; in fact, it's quite simple: "I'd love to date someone cool, fun ... funny." (RumorFix)

Last fall, Young Money's Drake gushed over his brief 2009 affair with the R&B hottie.

"I guess I thought it was more [with me and RiRi]. That was the first girl with any fame that paid me any mind. You spend days reading about this person in magazines. All of a sudden you have this number-one song and you're at some birthday party and there she is. And you're just some naive kid from Toronto staying in some sh--ty-a** hotel who got invited to this party on a whim. That's just how it happened." (Elle Magazine)
