Gotta love the internet, if it ain't one rumor its another. The rumors come, and sometimes, they get shot down just as fast.

The internet will kill just about anybody prematurely, even an artist locked in the cell. The latest victim of the death rumor was Remy Ma after the social networking site Twitter reported she had passed away.

Remy Ma called in to Hot 97 Monday night to confirm that she is not dead and put and end to a Twitter death hoax that had the hip hop community afraid they'd heard the last of the legendary rapper. She made the call from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in Westchester County, N.Y., where she is serving a lengthy sentence after being convicted in 2008 of assault, illegal weapon possession and attempted coercion in connection with a 2007 shooting(IBTimes)

Flex was able to get the incarcerated rapstress and former Terror Squad member on the phone to prove, in fact, she is very much alive.

Early this afternoon, a crazy rumor set Twitter ablaze that rapper Remy Ma was stabbed to death during an altercation in prison. The rumor got so crazy, it became a worldwide trending topic and the Hot 97 phones were ringing off the hook with girls concerned for the BX raptress. Rem got word of the rumors too, and got on the phone with Flex (shout to Papoose for the connection!) to debunk them ASAP! She also revealed she'll be home in 22 months! That puts her out around May 2014! Listen to the full interview below.(IFWT)

In other news ... son of 90s hip hop artist Coolio is facing serious time after forcing his way into a man's home and robbing him at gunpoint. Grtis Ivey, Coolio's son, was previously featured on the short lived reality series Coolio's Rules.

The eldest son of rapper Coolio, who arrested last November for breaking into a Las Vegas apartment with a gun and forcing the tenant into the washroom while his prostitute friend looted the place, has reached a deal to serve between three and half and 10 years in prison.Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Grtis Ivey, 22 - who appeared on the family reality show Coolio's Rules - agreed to plead guilty to a single felony robbery charge. Shortly after an encounter at a club, Grtis and a woman named Shantrice Wilkerson were caught up in an armed robbery.

Police say on October 26, Shantrice Wilkerson met a man at a nightclub and went back to his home to get the $5,000 she wanted in exchange for sex. The two went to another location, but the man left before anything occurred. Three days later, police say Shantrice and Grtis went back to the man's home and robbed him at gun point.(Daily Mail)
