Pitbull may be getting deported from the continental U.S. Not to worry, the rapper isn't in any legal trouble, he stumbled into a Facebook contest that will send him to any town whose Walmart page gets the most "likes." So far, a town in Alaska is winning. They must really love Pitbull out there.

Pit got dragged into a joke gone too far and now it seems the party anthem rapper may be soon headed to Kodiak, Alaska, miles and miles away from the beautiful Miami weather he's grown used to.

Miami rapper Pitbull might soon be chilling out in Alaska. In a marketing deal, Walmart will send Pitbull, aka Armando Christian Perez, to the store that gets the most "likes" on its Facebook page. It seems to be working. The Kodiak Walmart's Facebook page had more than 41,000 "likes" Tuesday morning, more than five times the town's population. Kodiak has a significant lead in the contest to land Pitbull, but actual numbers weren't immediately available, Walmart spokeswoman Sarah Spencer said. She says other Walmart shoppers have until July 16 to like their local stores and pull ahead of Kodiak. "I know Pitbull is hoping his Miami Walmart shoppers start liking their Facebook page," she said.(

Pitbull seems cool with it all, saying he's down to party hard no matter the location.

Pitbull, who is touring Europe, seems to be taking the contest in good nature. "Wherever the fans want to have a party, I will be there," he said in an emailed statement sent Monday from Austria. Kodiak Island is about 225 miles southwest of Anchorage. It's home to the nation's largest Coast Guard base, and the island is known for its Kodiak brown bear population. That fact wasn't lost on Pitbull, who tweeted Saturday: "I hear there's bear repellant at Kodiak, Alaska (at)walmartspecials."(The Advertiser)

In other news, the new Spiderman flick drops today. Critics are already saying it's better than ... all the other Spiderman movies. The true test will be to see if it'll outdo the upcoming finale to the Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. If it can do that AND out do the previous Batman film, it may just be the best comic book adaptation of all time.

In fact, this is the best Spidey film yet: strong, bold and well-acted. Its main problem -- besides a bloated running time and only adequate 3-D -- is that you can't help but experience pangs of déjà vu, since director Sam Raimi's very good "Spider-Man" debuted on the screen about 10 years ago. Fortunately, the story and character show greater dimension here, and there's a different love interest. While "Spider-Man 3" crammed in too much, "The Amazing Spider-Man" takes a less-is-more approach, and it pays off.(Mercury News)

SOHH Watcha Think: Will the new Spiderman movie topple The Dark Knight as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time?
