Photographers finally got an up-close shot of Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z's six-month old Blue Ivy Carter this week when the R&B diva stepped out with her in New York City.
In addition to a close shot of Blue Ivy, fans got to see Beyonce donning her signature early 2000's-style braids.
When she's not performing or watching Hov watch The Throne in Europe, Blue Ivy has been Beyoncé's go-to accessory for trips around New York City this spring and summer, often shielding her first born from the invasive lenses of the paparazzi with a variety of colorful scarves, blankets, and shawls. Beyoncé was spotted leaving department store Bergdorf Goodman's in Manhattan earlier on Wednesday, once again with her shopping partner in tow. Plenty of photographers captured mom and daughter leaving the store, with Bey's newly braided hair receiving most of the attention as Blue's face was held ever so close to her chest, but the camera of one bold/potentially sketchy fan site is responsible for getting the money shot: a clear image of B & B inside the store, revealing the six-month-old's full head of hair and extremely pinchable cheeks to the masses--we dare you not to try and squeeze them through your screen. Around mid-February, the happily married couple unveiled Blue's newborn baby photos.
Rapper Jay-Z and wife Beyonce unveiled highly-anticipated pictures of their new baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter on Friday, opting to post intimate family shots on social networking site Tumblr rather than selling them to the highest bidder. The couple posted five photos which show the newborn, already sporting a head of long black hair, being cuddled by her proud parents and capturing intimate moments of family life. (Reuters)
In May, Bey revealed her intention to have more kids later down the road.
The 30-year-old singer was beaming as she spoke of her four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who was back home with husband Jay-Z and mother Tina Knowles. "I have such a full life," she gushed. "I feel like now I know the reason that I was born." She wants to add more members to her family, but it probably won't happen anytime soon. "Of course. "I definitely want to have more," she said. "I don't know how many. God knows; I don't know yet." If you're wondering how she got back in shape so quickly, it's no fluke. "I've been working really hard," said B, who's been spending time with a trainer. "There are no secrets--discipline." (Rap-Up)
Earlier this year, Jay envisioned Blue Ivy Carter reaching her teenage years.
"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that," the rapper said in an interview for Oprah's Master Class: Special Edition. "Then at the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst-spoiled little kid ever," he admitted. Jay-Z went on to say that even if he does spoil Blue Ivy, she will probably resent him once she is a teenager. "Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their [kids are] teenagers," he said. "[Then they say], 'Get away from me, dad. You're embarrassing me'." (Digital Spy)
