G-Unit leader 50 Cent is following through on his 37th birthday by releasing the long-awaited Five (Murder By Numbers) album without a price tag today (July 6).
Fif officially dropped his latest music project online Friday through ThisIs50.
Following months of talk surrounding 50 Cent's new album, it's finally here: 5 (Murder By Numbers). The project was initially thought to be the hip-hop star's fifth studio album. But a day before it's scheduled release on July 3rd, he decided to release it for free three days later (July 6), on his 37th birthday. Fif also announced that his official LP would come in November, and will be titled Street King Immortal. 5 is a 10-track, self-released digital album, boasting production from Focus, Hit-Boy, Trax, and Havoc. On Independence Day, Fif revealed his plans to put the record out today.
"Try to avoid negative people today.my birthday is the day after tomorrow. I'm celebrating already :o)," he tweeted July 4th.
"I'm listening to album 5 this joint banging. I'm giving it away as a birthday present to my self cool right?" (50 Cent's Twitter)
In addition to celebrating the album's release, today also marks Fif's 37th birthday.
We all know how it goes: "Go, shawty. It's your birthday. We gonna party like it's your birthday..." Well, today actually is the one and only 50 Cent's big day. The multitalented rapper, actor, entrepreneur and record producer turns 37, and we can only guess he'll be doing some Bacardi sippin' (and much, much more). (E! Online)
