Saturday, Jun 16, 2012 10:00AM
The manager of a SoHo nightclub has been arrested less than 72 hours after Chris Brown and Drake's reported bottle-throwing fight on multiple accusations.
According to reports, police brought in manager Jonathan Cantor after getting several complaints regarding his club's noise level this week.
Jonathan Cantor, the manager of the club called Greenhouse, was hauled in to the 1st Precinct station house at about 2 a.m. Friday. Police had responded to complaints about loud music blaring from his club at 150 Varick Street. Cantor was not held because of the noise violations, but because he had two outstanding arrest warrants against him, Cornell reported. The NYPD told 1010 WINS police were at the club conducting a business inspection. Cantor was issued two summons, he was found to be in violation of fire code and against alcohol beverage control, according to police. (CBS Local)
In light of his Greenhouse hot spot getting negative press as the crime scene of Drake and Chris Brown's fight, an emergency meeting has been called to review bottle service guidelines.
Meanwhile, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn has expressed concerns over the melee and has convened an emergency meeting, to be held next week, about the future of bottle service. The meeting will involve Quinn's office, the NYPD, and the nightlife industry. "The purpose of this meeting is to send a clear message to all nightclub patrons that bottles cannot be used as weapons and to determine if the guidelines surrounding bottle service need to be updated or reworked," Quinn said in a statement Friday. Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill is also getting attached to the Wednesday night fight.
25-year-old Meek Mill, who was seen hanging with Drake before the brawl broke out at club W.I.P. in New York City early Thursday morning, is responsible for Brown's injury. Although the exact grounds and causes of the altercation remain unknown, pop star Rihanna is believed to be the root reason for tension between Drake and Brown. Both artists have previously dated the leading lady. (Philly)
Despite his denial, additional reports claim Drizzy threw up his middle finger at Breezy which prompted the entourage altercation.
It looks like last night's wild fight between Chris Brown and Drake was, in fact, about the former's ex and the latter's rumored hookup, Rihanna. Imagine that. Sources also indicate that while Drake's telling the truth when he says he wasn't involved physically in the epic melee that ensued, he definitely stirred the pot. Drake gave Brown the middle finger, engaged in some serious trash talk, and recruited several other rappers to join his posse before the brawl, witnesses say. (The Hollywood Gossip)
