News: No Lie? Drake's Rihanna Infatuation Dissected

Young Money rapper Drake's perceived infatuation with rumored ex-girlfriend Rihanna is heating up the Internet and has received prompt analyzing courtesy of his new "No Lie" music video.
Some online critics have considered the timing of 2 Chainz and Drake's new clip more than a coincidence.
What makes the video interesting, however, is the timing. Drake is still dealing with the fallout from a nightclub brawl with Chris Brown, during which bottles were thrown and body guards and innocent bystanders suffered lacerations. The fight was (naturally) deemed as a battle over Rihanna, the controversial hip-hop artist they've both dated. But there's the rub: Drake's verse on "No Lie" includes this thinly veiled (and hyper-aggressive) dig at a certain Grammy winner. Here's part of his verse: "Aww that look like what's her name, chances are it's whats her name Chances are if she was actin up then I f----d her once and never f----d again She could have a Grammy, I still treat her ass like a nominee Just need to know what that p---y like so one time is fine with me For the record, RiRi has won five Grammys from a total of 17 nominations." Sites like RapGenius have also drawn multiple connections to RiRi from Drake's verse.
Chances are that the female is Rihanna. Rihanna has a song called "What's My Name" which featured Drake, therefore Drake could be reffering to her after he hit her up by making the "chances are it is what's her name" reference. (Rap Genius)
The new Director X-helmed music video premiered online Tuesday (June 19).
First things first: Yes, this is the song on which Drake probably disses Rihanna ("aw that look like what's her name, chances are it's what her name / chances are if she was actin' up then I fucked her once and never f*cked again"), and yes, it is a particularly interesting (or opportunistic) choice to release the video this very week. (Also, if the Note is real, then Drake is not really on message here with the lying. Those lyrics and "I'm still f*cking Rihanna" can't be true at the same time.) But fast-forward past the gossip and you will be rewarded with a black-and-white, Color Me Mine-ish drip-paint video from Director X, featuring polygraph tests, Drake in an experimental eyewear phase, 2Chainz in an admiral's cap, and a few women who just raided the Phantom of the Opera costume closet. Despite the speculation, Drizzy and RiRi were recently spotted in Miami together.
Are Drake and Rihanna giving it another go? The "HYFR" rapper and the pop star--who enjoyed a brief romance back in 2009--were spotted at Miami hotspot Liv Sunday night acting "hot and heavy. "Rihanna was all over Drake this weekend," an onlooker tells Us Weekly. "They were holding hands and dancing all close on the dance floor." Despite their weekend PDA, a source close to Rihanna denies that the Barbados-born beauty is seeing Drake--or anyone else for that matter. "She's not 'dating' Drake or anybody," the insider counters. "She's single." (Us Magazine)
