5 Reasons Why You Should Buy...: MyTunes Pro HD: "We've Tried This Out W/ Murs, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Drake, You Name It"

[With graduations and summer vacations on deck, what better way to cruise into the hot season than upgrading your jams to fit your needs? Today, SRS Sound's Senior Software Applications Engineer Mike Lamenzo gives you five reasons to cop the new MyTunes Pro HD app ASAP!]
1. Ayo Technology
I think the number one reason is because of the SRS technology. It really enhances the sound. I like to mess around with the bass on my music and so when I'm in my car, I'm always having to adjust the tunes. The nice thing about how this whole app is that we have some pre-tuning set up for you. You can just go into it and turn on the mode that best suits you. As long as you do not have anything else plugged into your device, the app will recognize if you're using an iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPad and adjust itself to specific settings. We use those specific settings for our Wow HD mode. Let's say you plug in headphones and speakers that go into your car, we've got modes set up for those scenarios too. So if you plug something into your device, the app will ask you what did you plug in so that it can apply the proper settings. It's what really makes MyTunes Pro HD so good, the fact you don't have to be an expert. Just start it up and you're good to go. If you do want a lot of controls, you can go into the settings and adjust at your preferences.
2. Flip Modes
I really like the advanced drilldown scans. When you open up a music player, you have all of these songs listed there and being able to flip through is important. For me, I don't just have 15 songs that I'm spinning through. So going through A to Z is nice but being able to be in the A category and having the ability to get to the end of A is important. As a programmer, I'm always looking to fix things up to work better. I know it's not hard to just scroll around, but this was just one of those features I wanted to get into and fix. I'm just happy to finally have an app where I can flip through my music quickly. I don't have to worry about going to A, then having to scroll, scroll, scroll. I knew coming in that I wanted this to be easy to move around in. Me, personally, I get frustrated when I have to search throughout my music. Navigation was important.
3. Go DJ, That's My DJ
The deejay transitions on the app are really cool. They're a very unique feature because unlike other applications which have transition options, ours are automated but intelligent at the same time. So what they're doing is montioring the bpm (beats per minute) for the songs being played. They're actually measuring the precise time at which the transitional works and sounds the very best. Overall, you have intelligent deejay transitions rather than static deejay transitions. It's cool because you can create a playlist and have a transition in the list. You can have your music play for the next hour getting mixed together.
4. OutKast Fast To Houston Screwed
The next reason is a bit silly but we have a feature that I love called TruSpeed. It's just a speed adjustment feature where you can either speed your music up or slow it down. When I was a kid, I was always playing with my hand recorder and speeding up someone's voice. What's cool about this is that you can take a song, speed it up and without the chipmunking of the voice. So it's fun to take songs that you might want to have upbeat and you can instantly do it. You can also really use this technology on podcasts and stuff that doesn't have to be only on tracks. This works really well with voice recordings. In terms of music, it's really hit or miss depending on what you're listening to.
5. Round Of Applause
I think the last thing would be the EQ feature. Whenever I'm sitting down, hopping into somebody's car or plugging my iPad into someone's speakers, it bugs me when something's a little off. The built-in EQ gives you control. You can adjust just how much boost is at every level and that amount of control was what was really missing so we made sure to let the users have it. We've been working with Murs on this, so we definitely sampled a lot of his tracks on here. We've ran a lot of different hip-hop artists on here to make sure the sound quality sounded great. I think it would be unfair to call out anybody other than Murs on this since we worked so closely with him. We've tried this out with Murs, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Drake, you name it. Anyone you can name but really the trending artists in hip-hop right now just to make sure anyone who downloads this is going to get their music as good as it can sound.
