After getting crowned SOHH Underrated a while back by fellow Florida native Kevin Cossom, Miami's Ace Hood recently gave SOHH his reaction to receiving the accolade.

Accepting the co-sign, Hood promised his music industry stripes would shine in due time.

"In my circumstance, I've always been underrated in this music business. I feel like just coming from me, in due time it'll be proven, if you actually look at this interview and be like, 'Wow, Ace Hood did tell me [it'd be proven.]' I definitely feel like I'm amongst the best in this music business. I'm not just saying it because I know it. I'm just telling you what's factual. But in due time, it'll be respected when people really take the time to really understand that." (SOHH)

Last September, platinum-selling rapper Game named Hood the most underrated emcee in hip-hop.

"The most under rated rapper is no doubt @acehood !!! F*ck who don't like it !!!," Game tweeted September 3rd. (Game's Twitter)

In March 2011, singer Kevin Cossom crowned Dade County rapper his top choice for SOHH Underrated.

"Somebody in the Miami area that I would say is underrated and really getting picked up now is my n*gga Ace Hood. He's definitely coming into his zone and he's already dropped a few mixtapes. He's got this joint called "Hustle Hard" out now. At first, out in Los Angeles a lot of people didn't know about it yet but that sh*t's been bumping out here in Miami. Now he's got Lil Wayne and Rick Ross hopped on the remix. I feel like now people are going to really start paying attention to him now. Heavy." (SOHH Underrated)

Hood's profile will likely grow, especially after recently teaming up with Cash Money Records.

"It's big for me," Hood said, referring to the new joint Cash Money/We The Best partnership. "I think the fans are going to be excited about the move. They've been waiting for me to take it to the next level in my career and to get the look and the exposure, being under YMCMB, it's huge. It's something I've been waiting on for a long time. People hear the starvation in my voice, they hear the hunger -- it's a good time." ("106 & Park")
