The fallout from the Hot 97 Summer Jam fiasco continues. After Nicki was blasted, then unblasted by Flex on his radio show, the popular DJ got a taste of his own medicine by the competition.

The war between NY radio personalities Charlamagne The God of Power 103 and Funkmaster Flex of Hot 97 continues. After Charlamagne aired out the Funkmaster via radio, Flex took it to Twitter, sending off what might possibly be the worst subtweet (subliminal tweet/shot) ever.


We need a radio match, a pay-per-view special or something. This is getting good.SOHH Watcha Think: Will the tension between Flex & The God spinoff into a bigger beef, or has Flex been dismantled? In case you missed it, here's the audio that got Flex so heated.

In other news, rapper Lil Phat was killed Thursday evening in Atlanta. The rapper was signed to Trill Entertainment, home to artists such as Lil Webbie and Boosie.

19-year-old rapper Lil Phat (Melvin Vernell III) was found shot and fatally wounded at 6:40 pm on June 7th in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA. Lil Phat was found in a car parked in a parking structure next to Northside Hospital Women's Center. He was taken to nearby Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses told investigators that they saw at least one suspect running from the scene of the crime. The parking deck has video surveillance cameras that the police are currently reviewing. Lil Phat was signed to Trill ENT, which included artists Lil Boosie, Webbie, Foxx, Lil Trill, KaDe, Mouse & Shell.(VLAD TV)

Reports say the young artist was killed in a car parked at an ATL hospital, causing the entire facility to go into lockdown.

The Melvin Vernell III shooting death put Northside Hospital on lockdown last night. WAFB reports that the Lil Phat shooting erupted Thursday evening. The attack was not inside the hospital, but rather in the parking deck near the hospital's women's center. WAFB reports the shooting erupted after 6:30 pm local time. Melvin Vernell III was inside a car when he was shot dead. Officials report to news that Vernell was seated inside his vehicle parked near the hospital's Labor and Delivery wing. The NBC affiliate reports that the hospital was on lockdown for two hours after the attack. Rapper Webbie wrote last night "RIP TO MY LIL BROTHER PHAT! LIFE SO F... UP! TRILL4LIFE". He later added "you ... think death a joke until you loose somebody you love."(LA Late)
