Former video vixen Amber Rose has reportedly delayed her music career and upcoming debut album indefinitely to focus on starting a family with fiancé/rapper Wiz Khalifa.
Despite a few singles to her name, the Philadelphia-bred model is determined to focus on family.
"I got engaged and I decided not to go through with an album because I just feel like it's a bit too much," Rose revealed in an interview. "I'm 28 now and me and Wiz are in love and we're thinking about having kids -- to do shows and start a music career is just not on the cards for me. ... I'll dip and dab and do little cool stuff -- I'm featured on Wiz's mixtape with Rick Ross, and I'll just do little fun stuff like that whenever I feel like it's cool." (Hip Hollywood)
In late February, the blonde bombshell dropped a single called "Loaded."
Following her debut entry into the music scene with assistance from her beau superstar rapper Wiz Khalifa on "Fame", socialite, model and now recording artist Amber Rose delivers her second entry in the world of recorded music with "Loaded." The euro-dance tinged track produced by The Crew, which features Amber dropping verses about how independently loaded she is, isn't my personal taste, but in the current state of music I think it will definitely work in the clubs and to be honest she doesn't rhyme worse than some of the rappers being championed left right and center. A week prior, Rose discussed releasing her debut "Fame" single for free.
"It's so perfect and I didn't know that was actually gonna be my first single but I was just like I'll put "Fame" out for free. It's not gonna be on iTunes or anything like that," Rose explained in an interview. "It's just for the fans to understand a little bit more of my life and you know there's a lot of young kids or people in general that want to be famous but they don't really know what that entails. That's why I put out "Fame." ... I definitely rap and I sing and my music is fun. It's all dance music. I have an inspirational song that's really dope. I have some records that are just plain fun, like you just want to party, jump around and go crazy to." (VIBE)
Last fall, Rose gave SOHH the scoop on her love for music-making.
"Oh yeah man, I'm in the studio every single night," Rose told SOHH. "Like, I do not sleep. [laughs] I'm really, really, grinding. I'm really in the studio. The music that I make is fun, it's dancemusic, it's club, just super fun music that gets you in a great mood and makes you happy. So I'm all about music and this is my time to really, really come out and hopefully make people happy when they listen to it." (SOHH)
