G-Unit leader 50 Cent has finally come forward to speak on dodging death a few days ago after suffering a near-fatal car crash in New York City.

According to Fif, his truck's bulletproof protection helped limit the damage and possibly saved his life.

"We spun off into the rail. We would've flipped if it was a regular truck, but the truck weighs over a ton because it has additional stuff in it," 50 Cent told MTV News on Friday (June 29) in an exclusive interview. "We were just riding down the LIE and a Mack Truck -- he said he lost control of the vehicle later to police officers because his load shifted," 50 explained. "He tried to brake, his load shifted, and he lost control and he ran into the back of the truck. It did more damage to the Mack Truck than it did to my truck, 'cause I got a level six; it's a bulletproof vehicle. It's the same standard as what they're moving Obama around in." (MTV)

He also denied the idea of getting into a near-fatal wreck for publicity days before his FIVE (Murder By Numbers) LP hits store shelves..

"Trust me, I have enough money to not hit myself with a Mack Truck to try to get a few dollars," he said. "What's the thought process on this? It makes no sense to me." (MTV)

Following hospitalization reports, Fif's camp provided a health condition update.

50 Cent is "doing fine" after his SUV was rear-ended by a truck early Tuesday morning, his spokesperson told ABCNews.com. "He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries," the spokesperson said. "He was released this morning and is doing fine." (ABC News)

Details on the wreck surfaced online Tuesday (June 26) morning.

50 Cent was hospitalized with possible injuries to his neck and back in a frightening car crash involving his SUV and a mack truck ... this according to a website affiliated with the rapper.
