Grammy-winning rapper T.I. recently talked about what advice he would give rap mogul Jay-Z in light of having a newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter earlier this year.
Father to a handful of kids himself, "King of the South" said Hov should especially pay attention to habits of daughters.
"Little girls are going to judge men they meet in the future based off how their father treated them," said the star of VH1's "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle." "You've got to be her first love, her first everything so when she run into nonsense in the street then she'll know, 'Nah, my daddy would never do it like that, so this isn't even worth my time or attention.'" He added, "Another piece of advice is enjoy the moments. Enjoy the moments because once they're gone, they're gone." (Rap-Up)
Recently, Jay envisioned Blue Ivy Carter hitting her teenage years.
"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that," the rapper said in an interview for Oprah's Master Class: Special Edition. "Then at the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst-spoiled little kid ever," he admitted. Jay-Z went on to say that even if he does spoil Blue Ivy, she will probably resent him once she is a teenager. "Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their [kids are] teenagers," he said. "[Then they say], 'Get away from me, dad. You're embarrassing me'." (Digital Spy)
Despite earning the role of "mother" just a few months ago, Jay's wife Beyonce Knowles-Carter already expects to have more kids later down the road.
The 30-year-old singer was beaming as she spoke of her four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who was back home with husband Jay-Z and mother Tina Knowles. "I have such a full life," she gushed. "I feel like now I know the reason that I was born." She wants to add more members to her family, but it probably won't happen anytime soon. "Of course. "I definitely want to have more," she said. "I don't know how many. God knows; I don't know yet." If you're wondering how she got back in shape so quickly, it's no fluke. "I've been working really hard," said B, who's been spending time with a trainer. "There are no secrets--discipline." (Rap-Up)
Around mid-February, the happily married couple unveiled their newborn baby's photos.
Rapper Jay-Z and wife Beyonce unveiled highly-anticipated pictures of their new baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter on Friday, opting to post intimate family shots on social networking site Tumblr rather than selling them to the highest bidder. The couple posted five photos which show the newborn, already sporting a head of long black hair, being cuddled by her proud parents and capturing intimate moments of family life. (Reuters)
