Jay is set to headline the first Budweiser Made in America Music Festival in Philly later this year. The news was to be held under wraps for a formal announcement, but loose lips indeed sink ships, and the word hit the web a little early.

He may have brought the Nets to Brooklyn, but this fall, he's bringing the music to Philly. Jay-Z will headline and curate the first Budweiser Made in America Music Festival in Philadelphia. The news was to be announced Monday morning but The New York Times beat Hov and Philly's Mayor Michael Nutter to the punch. Set for September 1 and 2, the festival will feature as many as 28 acts spanning a breadth genres such as rock, hip hop and jazz.(Huffington Post)

In late September, Jigga will do a show in Brooklyn to commemorate the BK Nets coming to the city. This guy is unstoppable.

The festival is reportedly being produced by Live Nation, with tickets going on sale on May 23. No other performers have been revealed yet. Later that month -- Sept. 28, to be exact -- Jay-Z will perform at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn to celebrate the borough's new basketball franchise, which he partially owns. Last month, the Brooklyn Nets revealed their new team logo, which was personally designed by the rapper. The Budweiser Made in America festival would offer a nice book-end to Philadelphia's hip-hop-centric summer festivals, with the Roots Picnic fest taking place on the first weekend of June for the fifth straight year on June 2-3.(Billboard)_

Today's question of the day: If you could choose one rapper to be principal of your old school, who would it be? We ask because recently, Big Sean was pegged to be principal for the day at Detroit's Warren High School. Warren's claim to fame is their very famous former student, Eminem.

Detroit native Big Sean is returning to the area to serve as principal for a day at a Warren high school. The Cass Tech grad will hold court at Lincoln High School today, which counts another Detroit rapper among its alumni: Eminem. The visit is part of a stay-in-school initiative brought forth by United Way.(MC Live)

In a press release, the G.O.O.D. Music spitter stressed he importance of education. Whoa dere.

"Showing up to school, all day, every day, is one of the most important things students can do to reach their educational goals and to go on to success later in life," Big Sean said in a news release. "I am so proud of my hometown of Detroit for tackling attendance issues head on and I am so excited to celebrate the achievements of the students who worked so hard throughout the attendance challenge."(MC Live)
