[SOHH highlights a hot record each week and offers a unique look at the track in Singled Out. After Big KRIT sat in during a Def Jam conference to discuss his debut album and his special collaboration with B.B. King, Mystikal explains the familiar feeling he got while creating "Original."]

The title says it all. In this game, it don't matter if it's rap, or whatever it is that you do: Be yourself. Because that's what's gonna work. Be a leader, don't be a follower. You know what I'm talkin' about. If you do it that way, whether you win or fail, you'll be able to accept it and grow from it far better than trying to sell records being somebody else. That's kind of hard to recover from. Be original.

The title couldn't have put it more perfect.

I remember when Baby told me what the title was ... he was like, "I got it Blood! I got it! 'Original!'" I was like, "Wooow." It brought me back to a moment in time in my career when I was just signed and the career ... kinda ran into a brick wall and I needed to try and reinvent or take it to the next level and Master P was growing his label at the same time and I got over there and had an opportunity to sign with that label and it was time to pick a song.

We were talking about picking the song and we decided to go with "Unpredictable." I'm telling you: Making "Original" took me back to the same moment, man. That's a true story.
