[SOHH highlights a hot record each week and offers a unique look at the track in Singled Out. After Roscoe Dash chops it up about his latest track with Def Jam rapper 2 Chainz, Big KRIT sat in during a Def Jam conference to discuss his debut album and his special collaboration with B.B. King]

It's goin' down, man. June 5th, Live from the Underground, I recently let everybody know what the features are. B.B. King is featured on my album, I'm excited for people to hear that record man. It was one of those things where I was riding around and playing that record and said, "Yo man, I wonder if we can get B.B. King on this." And everybody said, "Yeah, that'd be hot," then everybody would just shut the f*ck up about it. So it was one of those situations where I kind of took some initiative and reached out to my lawyer and went through alotta loopholes and finally I was able to get in touch with this dude name Jason that handles B.B. King's projects and alotta his internet business. And so I reached out ... B.B. loved it and it went from there.

The next thing you know I was in the studio with him working; it was just one of those situations I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do and an artist I never thought I'd have the opportunity to work with. It's a different kind of song.

I'm excited for people to hear it because I really kinda took it there with live instrumentation, a lot more singing, samples ... I couldn't utilize them as much because this is a more retail project so I had to be a little bit more creative with ideas and creative with the sounds and stuff.

I think I took it there a little bit more definitely on the production level and the content level. From the singing aspect, being able to utilize the choir and background vocalists and being able to add a little bit more sounds to tailor-make a track from the hook to the verses and acoustics. I really tried to make it all sonically fit. Yeah I dropped three projects before this but this is the debut so I really gotta incorporate everything that people have come to know in the music and just make it broader.
