Beef is boring. What was once a great way to get some halfway decent bars out of your favorite MCs has become a tired, whored-out scheme to drum up attention to whatever 'movement' your favorite up-and-comer thinks they may have going. Real rap.

Besides all that, beefing with anyone that looks your way is bad business: Believe it or not, there may come a day when you need a collabo, but lo and behold, you've made enemies with damn near every artist currently bangin' out hits. Salute to A$AP Rocky for speaking on the subject, and offering a few words of wisdom toward fellow NY newcomer Azealia Banks, who has been on a beefing spree as of late, firing shots at Iggy Azalea and Lil Kim. Lady of Rage, you prolly next ma.

'212' rapper Azealia has been locked in beef with several rappers, including T.I. and Iggy Azalea and most recently Lil Kim. While A$AP believes Azealia will have a successful career, he says she needs to stop "disrespecting" the older generation.(TaleTela)

Rocky sat down and chopped it up for a pretty cool interview, and even surprised many by naming Kendrick Lamar as his fave rapper.

On Azealia Banks: "I like her for what she's worth. I do think she gotta chill out with the beefin' and all that other stuff and disrespecting the O.G.s. She the homegirl, so it ain't nothin' but a little talk to her. I think if she stays out of trouble, she'll have longevity." On Kendrick Lamar: "That's my favorite rapper. He's a mad scientist." On Yelawolf: "Underrated, unappreciated, one of the best." On rumors that he only likes white girls: "I like all girls for the record. I don't care if you white, black, yellow, or purple. I love women, as long as their beautiful, smart, and trill."(The Rap-Up)

SOHH Watcha Think: There hasn't been a truly great rap beef since the early 2000s. Are there any two rappers that could beef and it actually be worth listeners attention at this point?
