Cold medicine company Theraflu is the latest entity to speak out on rap star Kanye West's "Theraflu" record which goes at targets ranging from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to NBA star Kris Humphries.

The company issued a statement separating itself from Yeezy's controversial hit.

Theraflu is speaking ill of Kanye West's new tune, "Theraflu." A company rep tells TMZ, "We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner." Kanye named the song after the cold medicine because he's so cold to his enemies they need a big dose. As you probably know by now, the song reveals Kanye's love for his new GF, Kim Kardashian. Theraflu reps did not say they would sue the singer, but their statement includes buzz words -- image and likeness -- that are often used in legal proceedings. And this is priceless. In the statement, the Theraflu rep adds, "Theraflu is an over-the-counter product used to help relieve cold and flu symptoms that millions of consumers rely on." Nothing to sneeze at ... (TMZ)

PETA has also spoken out toward Ye after getting name-checked on his track.

When PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) learned of 'Ye's defiant lyrics, the animal rights group lashed into him with scathing words of their own. "What's draggin' on the floor is Kanye's reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings," said PETA's Senior Vice President Dan Mathews in a statement sent to "He's a great musician but doesn't seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he'll find his heart and join evolved style icons--including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman--who have dropped animal skins." (XXL Mag)

Ye's newest track shows him opening up on his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose and rumored new wifey Kim Kardashian.

After reporting that Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music crew would drop their "Mercy" single on Friday (April 6), Funkmaster Flex has gone ahead and premiered a different track from the project. It's called "Theraflu" and features Kanye rapping over a synthy Hit-Boy beat alongside DJ Khaled. Compared to the grandiose statements we're used to from Kanye, this is definitely a more standard rap track. Yeezy calls himself "Swag King Cole" and then gets into brag mode. The song also features the following Amber Rose/Kim Kardashian-referencing lines that will surely hit every trashy celeb blog tomorrow: "The whole industry wanna f*ck your old chick / The only n*gga I got respect for is Wiz / And I'll admit I fell in love with Kim / Right around the same time she fell in love with him." (Exclaim)

Initially, the track was believed to be off Yeezy's upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album.

Earlier today Pusha T took to Twitter to announce that "Mercy," the first single from the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album would drop this Friday. But, just a few minutes ago, this track popped up online. Titled "Theraflu," this new song from Kanye West and DJ Khaled is apparently the album's first single. So, either Pusha T was wrong, the internet is wrong or Yeezy just decided to give us an early treat. Either way, I'm sure we'll still get to hear "Mercy" on Friday and I'm sure that "Theraflu" is indeed off of the G.O.O.D. Music album. (We Got This Covered)
