[With her new Payback Ain't Enough on bookshelves nationwide today, renowned urban author Wahida Clark gives you five reasons to check out the new must-read novel.]
1. Ask About Me
Wahida Clark is a brand. When my readers see my name on a book cover, their palms get sweaty, their heartrate starts to speed up and they say to themselves, "Oh sh%$#@@. It's about to go down!" When I say the Wahida Clark brand, it's because I have eleven novels so I'm not a brand new author. I spoil my readers. They expect excellence, they expect consistency and when you see my name on a book, your hands get sweaty and heartbeat starts to go up. You know it's about to go down. That's how I try to bring it all the time.
2. I Betcha, It'll Be A Best-Seller
It highlights, revenge, romance, murder, scandal, as well as the element of surprise. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down. When I was incarcerated, I met people from Detroit and they all seemed to be on their game and was on the up-and-up. They just had it going on. That's why I base this in the Detroit setting. But Payback Ain't Enough, it has revenge, romance, murder, scandal and more. In Detroit, those people get their hustle on by any means necessary.
3. Strap In
Payack Ain't Enough takes you on that ride. You get to hear the thoughts and see through the eyes of a young woman that is fed up and vows to change the course of her life, while still professing to be deep in love. At one point as you're reading the story, you don't know if she's acting a certain way because of her pregnancy or if it's realy because she's had enough.
4. No Days Off
For my readers who have read Payback Is A Mutha and Payback With Ya Life, Payback Ain't Enough picks up right where Payback with Ya Life leaves off. For those of you who haven't read any of the Payback books, trust me, you will want to get a little #payback. This exceeds past the first two and I won't say third time's a charm because this story may go on. The readers have just been waiting for this.
You won't be able to because every time you expect one thing to happen, I make sure something else happens. Reading Payback Ain't Enough is like watching a good movie. I'm obsessed with making each book better than the last one. I just know that the readers expect the fast pace from me. When they pick up the book, they just can't put it down. I knew I had to have a lot of twists and turns, making people expect the unexpected.
You Decide. Will you purchase the new Payback Ain't Enough novel?
