Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West left "106 & Park" viewers scratching their heads yesterday (April 9) after giving hosts Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz the silent treatment during an interview.

While coming out as a surprise guest for Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz's interview, Yeezy followed through with silence and head nodding.

Kanye West has shied away from the media as of late, but he made a surprise appearance alongside his Def Jam labelmate 2 Chainz on Monday's "106 & Park." Looking fresh to death in a cheetah-print jacket and the new Air Yeezy 2s, Mr. West did not say a single word, letting 2 Chainz do all the talking. (Rap-Up)

2 Chainz used the opportunity to boast about how much he respects Ye's talent.

"I feel like Kanye is the best producer in the world," the rapper said. "The way that he sees things is just different from anyone else, so it's just an honor to be in the studio with him at the same time and just kinda clashing worlds. My resume is filled with street credibility music, trap rap, and he kind of brings color and images to what I'm doing, so he'll definitely be a part of my project." ("106 & Park")

No stranger to silence, Ye has previously done mum interviews.

This isn't the first time Kanye exercised his right to remain silent. In 2011, Kanye did a silent interview with New York Mag where he only answered questions by shaking his head yes or no. After falling out with "The Today Show's" Matt Lauer, Kanye has refused to do any interviews, citing the media takes what he says out of context. (Global Grind)

As of late, Ye has kept the Internet hot with his alleged dating of reality star Kim Kardashian.

For the second time this week, Kim Kardashian was photographed leaving her new boyfriend's New York apartment. Kim and rapper Kanye West have taken their romance public, with Kanye publicly declaring he fell in love with with the reality star in a rap song. Kim was asked about the relationship in an interview with on Friday and explained that she and Kanye had been friends for a long time, and that there's no telling with the future holds. (RumorFix)
