Mobb Deep's Prodigy and Havoc are out to prove there is no bad blood between them despite recent reports which would suggest otherwise by appearing at Friday night's New York Knicks home game.
A photo of the longtime hip-hop duo enjoying the Knicks' blowout of the Washington Wizards began circulating online a day later.
What breakup? Last night embattled hip-hop group Mobb Deep were spotted together courtside for the New York Knicks' thrashing against the Washington Wizards at Madison Square Garden in NYC. A photo of the two together put to bed any suggestions of a breakup for the Mobb Deep following a series of tweets Havoc fired at Prodigy earlier this week. "Even Mobb Deep were in the crowd" sports announcer Alan Hahn first revealed during the Knicks' post-show on the MSG network. (RapFix)
Recent reports claimed Mobb Deep would never reunite for an album.
The Infamous Mobb hit SXSW in Austin for the first time last month, and though they performed multiple times, the tension was continuing to mount. "When he got back to New York, Prodigy kept his word," the source said. "He stopped takin' Havoc's calls. He wanted to be out that whole situation." The source also denied accusations that Havoc questioned Prodigy's sexuality, and said it's highly unlikely that the two will work together again. "To be honest with you, there's 120 percent certainty that there will never be another Mobb Deep album again," the source concluded. "How do you come back from that?" (XXL Mag)
Despite anti-Prodigy tweets appearing on his Twitter page last weekend, Hav later came forward and addressed the matter.
"Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey. I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick's game. To all Mobb Deep fans: it's business as usual! It's Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!" (Statement)
Prodigy also proved there were no feud-related issues going on with him and Hav.
"ATTENTION: TO BE CLEAR @PRODIGYMOBDEEP IS A FAKE PAGE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY SH*T IS VERIFIED TWITTER PEOPLE R ON SUM BULLSH*T RIGHT NOW SMH..," he tweeted April 9th.
"IM A FATHER ,AN ADULT, IM NOT HERE TO BEEF IM HERE TO MAKE MUSIC." (Prodigy's Twitter)
