Young Money star Drake details his motivation behind throwing a second Bar Mitzvah in the new "HYFR" music video, describing his embrace of the Jewish faith.

In behind-the-scenes footage, Drizzy claims that his inability to have an elaborate Bar Mitzvah while growing up is what motivated the concept behind the visual of his latest video.

"I'm really celebrating my religion," Drake said in behind-the-scenes footage, "I'm proud, a proud young Jewish boy. So, when I had a Bar Mitzvah back in the day, my mom really didn't really have that much money. We kinda just did it in the basement of an Italian restaurant, which I guess is kinda like a faux pas. I told myself that if I ever got rich, I'd throw myself a re-Bar Mitzvah. That's the concept for the video. Myself, obviousy, the CEO, the boss, Weezy and the Birdman." (Derick G)

In the actual music video, Drake gives viewers a luxury version of his ideal Bar Mitzvah.

At the top of the clip, Drizzy heads to synagogue and reads from the Torah, no doubt using his vocal prowess to completely slay his Torah portion. Once he's done with the service, Drake and his pals head over to the party which is packed with kosher wine top shelf liquor and yarmulkes designer suits. Always the generous baller, in addition to a Torah-shaped cake, Drake provides his guests with a smorgasbord of Jewish classics (bagels, challah, whitefish salad, cream cheese schmear) and after they indulge in the feast, Drizzy and Co. dance the night away to the Hava Nagila. Oh, and did we mention "HYFR" is also rife with footage of a 13-year-old Drake at his first Bar Mitzvah? (Buzzworthy)

Last year, Drizzy jokingly flaunted his Jewish background.

Sandy Koufax ... Albert Einstein ... Moses ... and now Drake?!? D*mn right. "[Would I get criticized for messing up the Canadian national anthem in public?] Yes. [laughs] Because I'm a patriotic Canadian," Drake told paparazzi. "Yeah. [Who's a better Jew, me or TMZ creator Harvey Levin?] I don't know. I'm one of the best Jews to ever do it. Ever in life. [laughs]" (TMZ)

Prior to blowing up with mainstream success, the platinum-selling rapper has discussed his Jewish heritage pride.

"I went to a Jewish school, where nobody understood what it was like to be black and Jewish," he told Heeb. "When kids are young it's hard for them to understand the make-up of religion and race." He told the magazine he was often called a schvartze: "But the same kids that made fun of me are super proud [of me] now. And they act as if nothing happened." He does however, display signs of Jewish pride. According to Heeb, he wears a diamond-studded Chai and wants to travel to Israel. (Jewish Journal)
