Young Money star Drake recently revealed how he got into various forms of drugs, admitting he uses them to battle the stresses of being a high profile entertainer.
According to Drizzy, the amount of pressure and stress have led him to trying drugs.
"Yeah, I know, because you get artists in this position who go crazy and don't know how to handle it. There are people who have killed themselves. There's the overwhelming stress, how tired you are, the weight on your shoulders of going out here and giving 18,000 people entertainment ... It's a lot of pressure," he revealed in an interview. "Have I sipped codeine before? Yeah, of course. Have I smoked weed? Yes. Do I drink wine? Yes. But do I do it excessively? No. I'm not a reckless guy. I do it all within moderation. I'm not into drugs." (The Guardian)
Recently, the rapper made headlines for his involvement at a marijuana-filled club party.
Drake is responsible for a MASSIVE cloud of pot smoke that shut down an Oklahoma City nightclub this month -- resulting in at least one arrest -- this according to the club owner ... who now wants the rapper to pay for his troubles. The owner of Dollhouse Lounge in OKC just sent Drake and his manager a letter -- obtained by TMZ -- claiming the rapper asked him to open the nightclub just for him on Thursday March 1st to host a private party ... and it went off the rails. According to the owner, Drake showed up with his massive entourage -- and when the party was in full swing, several Dollhouse employees noticed the smell of marijuana coming from Drake's VIP section. Although the fun was shut down shortly afterward, the owner claimed police later arrived and placed him in handcuffs.
While the cops were there, the owner claims they discovered a half-burnt marijuana cigarette in Drake's section -- and then ARRESTED the club manager ... after issuing her a ticket. But the owner thinks it's BS his club is taking the blame -- because he'd never be in this mess if Drake never asked him to host a party. Now, he wants Drake to pay for all his trouble ... several thousand dollars worth ... or ELSE. (TMZ)
Outside of the club drama, Drake recently chatted about his maturity as a man when it comes to his lifestyle and relationships.
Spritzer in hand, he spreads himself out on the couch and acknowledges that, yes, he had a spell there when he was f*cking tons of girls...but that just wasn't right for him: "There's just a time where it was like, just getting p*ssy. Where I was in that sort of 'I'm young, I'm going to disconnect from my emotions and just do what everyone else tells me I should do and just be a rapper and have my fun.' And for me as a person, it just doesn't work. I just need something else. The seconds after a man reaches climax, that's like the realest moment of your life. If I don't want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there's something wrong." (GQ)
