G.O.O.D. Music's Big Sean and Young Money's Tyga recently talked about the hype surrounding collaborator Nicki Minaj in light of her new Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album on store shelves this week.
Tyga said he is most proud of Nick's fierce and demanding demeanor on the new LP.
Tyga took a break from his "I'm Gone" video shoot in Lynwood, California, on Monday to talk Pink Friday with MTV News. "I love it," Nicki's fellow Young Money soldier said. "I get the concept behind the album. This is her album, and she's really talkin' that sh-- and tellin' people they need to glorify her and what she's done." (MTV)
Along with naming one of his favorite Roman Reloaded tracks, Sean also signified what stands out on the record.
Judging from the double-platinum success of Sean and Nicki's "Dance (A$$)" remix, a future collaboration sounds like a no-brainer. Until then, the G.O.O.D. Music MC is enjoying tracks from Roman Reloaded. "I definitely like the one with Chris Brown," Sean said, referencing Nicki's "Right by My Side." "I like the ones where she's really taking it back to the essence with the rap, sounding like a lot of her early work, her mixtape work." (MTV)
With hew new LP on store shelves, Minaj recently dismissed sophomore jinx worries.
"H*ll no! This album is gonna sell so much more than Pink Friday," Minaj told radio host DJ Clue. "Ask me this question two years from today, Clue. With me, I'm never about first week and all that. I like to look at it for the long haul. I'ma travel, I'ma meet my beautiful babies, my Barbz everywhere, and this is my first time I'm gonna get to do a world tour, so the album is gonna do its thing." (Power 105.1)
Last week, Cash Money head honcho Birdman called Nicki the best rapper alive.
"I say she is, but if she's not today, within time she will be. No female ever will be able to sell more records than her, have more singles than her, have more number one singles than her, have more awards--no more nothing. She had the most singles by a female last year. Her accomplishments are gonna speak for themselves." (Complex)
