Singled Out: "50 [Cent] Found That Record, That Wasn't Even One I Presented To Him"

[SOHH highlights a hot record each week and offers a unique look at the track in Singled Out. After producer E-Train reveals how he managed to get Keith Murray on the new "Talk Sh*t" anthem, G-Unit spitter Precious Paris discusses her latest track alongside 50 Cent.]
Let's talk about "Everything OK," which I'm shooting a video for.
That's a really cool song. That's actually a song that I did verses on and I didn't think that it was any good. When I recorded it, I didn't even listen to it when I went home at all. Then 50 throws this hook on it and now I love it.
50 [Cent] found that record, [it] wasn't even one I presented to him. I just go in the studio and I record and record. He doesn't have to tell me to go to the studio. So when he comes to New York, he'll see a stash of my records and he uses his expertise and executive decision. He knows what he's talking about so I listen to what he has to say.
The whole song makes sense to me now. I wasn't even feelin' it at first -- and I'm gonna be honest with you: That's exactly what happened with the song "Queens," as well. I didn't even listen to "Queens" after I recorded it.
"Queens" was a strong record and I didn't think that at all so it's crazy for that to happen in both those situations. But you know, I've heard artists say, "Every hit record I've ever had, I never liked it."
So I'm understanding that now. Everything that I may think is craaaazy, may not be and vice versa.
For the video for "Everything OK," you're gonna see me in the hood, you're gonna see me re-enacting my life before I got on and you're gonna see it switch to how I am now. Life is easier now [laughs].
Precious Paris is a Queens, New York rapper currently signed with G-Unit Records. Earlier this year, Paris released her debut EP entitled "From Paris With Love", which featured production by Rockwilder and the track, "Queens," and "Everything OK" with G-Unit head, 50 Cent.
