Bobbi Kristina, daughter of late music icon Whitney Houston, has finally spoken and gave her first interview discusisng her mother's untimely passing to renowned talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
While details are still emerging, Bobbi and other family members have reportedly already recorded their interview with Winfrey.
Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, has given her first interview since her mother's death to Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey spoke today to Bobbi Kristina, her sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston and Whitney Houston's brother, Gary Houston. Bobbi Kristina shares memories of her mother and how she would like her to be remembered and the family addresses rumors about her death. (USA Today)
The highly-anticipated footage will reportedly air next weekend.
The interviews will be featured in "Oprah's Next Chapter" at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 11, on OWN, of course. What will Bobbi Kristina discuss? I'd like to know her reactions to reports that she was out-of-control after her mother's death. But OWN says that "Bobbi Kristina shares personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered." Before that special, OWN will repeat "Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview" from 7 to 9 p.m. March 11. OWN said the special features "Whitney Houston's last in-depth television interview from 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' as Winfrey reflects on her personal memories of the superstar." (Orlando Sentinel)
A few days ago, Bobbi's aunt revealed she feared for her niece's safety.
Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is currently "in danger" from people who may want to harm her, according to Whitney's sister-in-law Leolah Brown. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Leolah defended her brother and sent out a clear warning to Bobbi Kristina, saying, "I am concerned about my niece Bobbi Kristina, yes.Krissy is not safe right now. I want to say to Krissy that it's very, very, very important that she does not trust anybody at this time." (Contact Music)
On February 18th, a funeral was held for Houston in Newark, New Jersey.
The invitation-only crowd of 1,500 filled the New Hope Baptist Church, where an arrangement of multicolored balloons greeted the gold hearse carrying the body of the multiplatinum singer and actress. Though limousines dropped off a procession of stars, including Jennifer Hudson, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé Knowles and Angela Bassett, many in the crowd knew Houston as "Nippy" -- a childhood nickname. On February 11, 2012, Houston was found dead in her guest room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California, however a cause of death has not yet been assessed.
