News: UPDATE: Kim Kardashian Considering Legal Action After Flour Attack
Monday, Mar 26, 2012 9:32AM
Reality star Kim Kardashian is now considering taking legal action in light of a flour bomb attack she experienced last week in Los Angeles, claiming a lesson should be taught to avoid further incidents from happening.
Although she initially played it off, Kardashian said legal action may be needed to help deliver a message.
"I said earlier no I wasn't (going to file a complaint)," Kim said. "I am just going to think about it, because I don't want someone to think they can really get away with that. So we are going to handle that. ... Now that I think about it and had some time to digest it -- I think, 'What if that was some other substance? What if that person had a dangerous weapon?' It's scary. And what's even scarier is this woman acted as if she was a part of the press. She just came out of nowhere! And so we are definitely changing things up a little bit, amping up security, taking some measures, and ... I'm gonna definitely deal with it because it is not acceptable." (MSNBC News)
A few days ago, Kardashian detailed how shocking and scary the incident was.
Kim Kardashian says the woman who attacked her with flour last night is nothing more than a "bully" ... and claims the only reason she's NOT pressing charges ... is because she's just too busy. Kim just called in to "TMZ Live" ... and gave us the blow-by-blow about how she handled herself when a female animal activist broke on to the red carpet and attacked her at an event for her new fragrance. Kim tells us ... she tried her best to "laugh it off" ... and refused to leave the event because she didn't want to disrespect all of the people who worked so hard to put the event together. And while Kim says she understands the flour bomber's beliefs ... KK raised a great point -- "If you're trying to promote nonviolence towards animals ... why are you trying to be violent towards humans?" (TMZ)
It was not initially clear why Kardashian was targeted for the flour bomb.
Kim Kardashian was hit with a 'flour bomb" Thursday night -- the latest in a series of benign celebrity "bombings" that can technically be considered assault and battery. Kardashian showed up at the West Hollywood launch party for her new perfume and was walking down the red carpet when a protester threw a bag of flour at her, the Los Angeles Times reports. Kardashian, covered in white powder, was quickly ushered to safety. It's not clear why the flour bomber attacked Kardashian. But the use of benign substances to "bomb" celebrities and public figures seems to be on the rise -- and legal consequences can follow. (Reuters)
The reality star is reportedly known for having organizations like PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) target her.
Kardashian has been photographed wearing fur at public events many times, most recently at Kanye West's Paris fashion show. In November, PETA placed a billboard in West Hollywood showing Kardashian in a fur vest next to a picture of live foxes with the words, "The babies miss their mother. Is she on your back?"
