Rap veteran and newly signed YMCMB member, Mystikal, announced the official title of his upcoming Cash Money Records debut at a "106 & Park" appearance this week.

According to the New Orleans-bred emcee, the LP, his first since 2001's Tarantula,  will share the same entitlement as his new single.

"I know y'all been waiting on that thing and it's gonna be titled Original," he revealed. "Those six years I was gone [behind bars], I never cried. I pouted and fussed, but during the making of this ['Original'] video, I was fighting back tears like Diana Ross. ... [Biggest lesson in rap?] Surroundings. Watch your surroundings and pay attention to them. Bees do not hang with flies. Believe that." ("106 & Park")

Just this week, Mystikal released his Birdman and Lil Wayne-assisted music video, entitled "Original."

YMCMB rolls out the red carpet to welcome Mystikal into the family. The New Orleans rapper, who was incarcerated for six years, receives a lavish homecoming in the Gil Green-directed video for "Original," the first single from his Cash Money debut. He indulges in the spoils of being a Cash Money Millionaire, which include a multi-million dollar mansion, luxury whips, and fine women everywhere. Birdman, Mack Maine, and a skateboard-wielding Weezy rep for the team under a crystal chandelier. Mystikal's first album since 2001's Tarantula is due later this year and will feature appearances from Busta Rhymes and Rick Ross. "This album's gonna be well, well worth the wait. Trust me," he told Rap-Up TV. (Rap-Up)

The record was slated to premiere last December, days after joining the Cash Money team.

Birdman and Mystikal aren't wasting any time with their new allegiance. The two are putting out "Original," Mystikal's first single, later on this evening via Funk Master Flex's Hot 97 radio show. According to their reps, Birdman and Mystikal have been sequestered in Miami's Hit factory recording a gaggle of records, including "Original." Besides The #1 Stunnna, the track features Lil Wayne. Around mid-December, Birdman officially welcomed the fellow New Orleans rapper to his label.

"It is an honor to get the opportunity to work with Mystikal, as we have a long history together. He is a great artist and his talent, combined with our hard work and strong team, is going to result in some of the best music of his career. We are expecting great work from Mystikal. Slim and I already have him in the studio working on his first album for Cash Money." (Statement)

As of now, there is no definite release date for Original.
