Miami rapper Brisco will avoid jail time in relation to a summer 2011 teenager assault case after agreeing to a plea deal Friday (March 23) which will keep him away from cell blocks.

According to the deal, Brisco will be forced to keep his distance from the teenage victim.

A rapper accused of beating up a teenager has entered a guilty plea in court. On Friday, British Mitchell, also known as the rapper Brisco, pleaded guilty to battery. A judge ordered the artist to have no contact with the victim. Brisco showed up to the 18-year-old victim's North Miami home last June and punched the teen so many times he was left unconscious. The victim eventually recovered from his injuries. (WSVN)

In addition to distance, Brisco will reportedly have to take part in an anger management course.

The charge stemmed from an a June 2011 incident in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 2000 block of Sans Souci Boulevard. Mitchell was ordered Friday to have no violent contact with the victim in the case and must also enter anger management. (CBS News)

Prior to getting bailed out, the rapper turned himself over to police in mid-July.

A popular rapper wanted for a local assault on a teen has turned himself in to authorities, North Miami Beach Police said Monday. He was being booked in Miami-Dade County jail Monday afternoon. Brisco's attorney did not immediately return a phone call on the matter. (NBC Miami News)

Booked on aggravated assault, the incident reportedly took place following a text message.

After sending a text message to Giovanni Nagy saying he was going to beat him up, Brisco, 29, later showed up at Nagy's North Miami condominium complex. Nagy's mother stepped outside to speak with the rapper in an effort to get him to leave her son alone and an argument broke out. Nagy came out of the apartment to defend his mother, and that's when police say Brisco pelted him with punches leaving him unconscious. In his haste to flee in a white Range Rover with the Florida tag: 863 TCA., police say Brisco left behind a red hat and one of the red sneakers he had on his feet. According to police, Giovanni Nagy's mother snapped cell phone pictures of the rapper while he was beating up her son. (Miami Herald)
