Brooklyn rapper Lil Kim and BET television personality Rocsi Diaz clashed during today's airing of weekday show "106 & Park" after the question of her status with rap rival Nicki Minaj emerged.
While initially calm, the Queen Bee tensed up when pressed about Minaj.
"It's almost like an elephant in the room to not bring it up," said Rocsi. Kim quickly shut her down after realizing where she was going with the question. "No, why?" she responded. "We here, this is about Team Kim and everybody in here. Brooklyn in the building!" Rocsi pressed on, "With much respect due to you and your craft--and I'm not trying to not say what the fans don't want to hear--but it's been the elephant in the room. It's being spit out there, so the only reason I address it... But I respect your game if you say you don't want to talk about it, but I don't want to see you talking about it somewhere else." Kim also tried to nix the topic by speaking on new music fans can look forward to.
Kim stated she was done speaking about the issue, at least for the time being. "At the end of the day, this is about Kim right now," she said. "We gave you that movie already, you know what I'm sayin'. We movin' on to a whole 'nother direction and if it come back that way, then we give ya'll another movie. But right now we moving into another direction. 'Bout to drop some new singles for Queen Bee and Brooklyn." (Rap-Up)
The rap veteran later hopped on Twitter to speak on what went down.
"I want to take this time 2 say #TeamLilKim & all my fans that came out 2 106. I f*cking love u guys. Y'all really turnt it up & represented," she tweeted March 9th.
"Even when Rocsi tried to get disrespectful towards the end & ask an unappropriate irrelevant question..."
"on a day we are supposed to be celebrating my man , The Notorious B.I.G's accomplishments."
"U guys held it DOWN!!!!!! I love U for life!!!! I look forward to our future together!!! Kisses!!!!" (Lil Kim's Twitter)
Last month, Kim laughed off Minaj-based questions in a separate television show interview.
"I didn't even know, who is that, who?," Kim playfully said when asked for her opinion on Minaj's Grammy Awards performance. "[How do I feel about 'Stupid H*e?] I'm pretty sure I feel the same way everybody else feels right about now. [laughs] You know. If you have to make a song called 'Stupid H*e,' you must be a stupid h*e." ("Watch What Happens Live")
