With the NBA trade deadline vastly approaching, SOHH recently reached out to sports fanatic Killer Mike, to get his take on who has a shot at making a strong playoffs run and whether or not he is riding with the Lin-sanity movement.

Despite supporting his hometown Atlanta Hawks through thick and thin, Mike said the LeBron James and Dwayne Wade-led Miami Heat should be taken seriously come playoffs time.

"Honestly, this year you're looking at potentially the Miami Heat winning the championship," Mike told SOHH. "I think LeBron James is finally coming into his own. I think he's the illest, tallest point guard in the game. I appreciate [New York Knicks' guard] Jeremy Lin because I appreciate any guy from Harvard playing profesionally. [laughs] I like New York. I ain't got no issues with them. I want to see the Knicks do good but shout-out to my n*gga Kobe [Bryant] and the motherf*cking Los Angeles Lakers. [laughs] The Clippers look dominate now and I ain't mad at them but they didn't want Kobe to get Chris Paul at point. If Chris would have [got traded to the Lakers], we'd be talking about a whole different thing right now. No matter how dominate you are in the season, you gotta make the play-offs. I really think the Heat could win the championship. I'm not making that my prediction, but I'm letting people know I think the Heat might take the championship this year." (SOHH)

Prior to losing the bet, Cash Money Records' Birdman made a $2 million wager on the Heat winning last year's NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

"YMCMBu$iness I Bet. 2million on tha MiaMi Heat.goin bye me another muthafkin WHip.we tha BusiNESS.I'm on 1.mula krazy," Birdman tweeted Wednesday (June 1). (Birdman's Twitter)

Recently, Brooklyn rapper Maino dished out his love for overnight sensation Jeremy Lin and the Knicks.

"I feel good about it. We needed that energy, we needed that energy in the city," Maino said in an interview. "Part of inspiring people is you need that energy to make them feel proud, make them feel worth, feel their worth and seeing Lin out there dishing the rock -- they're doing their thing. It's bringing this proudness back to the city. ... The first time I seen him, I was like, 'Who the f*ck is this?' ... The first game I caught was when they played against the Lakers. That's when he cracked on Kobe [Bryant]. That was the first game I caught." (All Hip Hop)

NBA teams have just under two weeks to meet the league's trade deadline.

With the NBA All-Star game concluded, it usually means the unofficial opening of the trading season. That's because the trade deadline usually is the Thursday after the All-Star game. But because of the 66-game compressed season, the trading deadline has been extended to March 15. Additionally, the final day for playoff eligibility is the following week, which is when teams generally will do buyouts. (NBA)
