Fans anxiously awaiting a release date for Drake and Rihanna's much talked about "Take Care" music video can finally exhale as the visual is slated to premiere later this week.

Rather than rely on a press release or inside sources to drop the scoop, Drizzy announced the premiere date of his new "Take Care" video himself.

"Take Care video drops Friday. Shooting HYFR tmrw. OVO," he tweeted March 20th. (Drake's Twitter)

Last week, photos from the video shoot, which features Roc Nation singer Rihanna, made its way through the Internet.

Drake and Rihanna travel to new heights in the artistic visual for their budding hit collaboration "Take Care." The video, directed by Yoann Lemoine, features grayscaled, intimate scenes with the hit-making duo, cinematic close-up shots of a bird, bull, and fish moving in artsy rhythm to the Jamie XX produced cut, and a group of muscular male performers acting out tribal dance scenes. We have your first look at the forthcoming video, which judging by these images, looks to be epic. (This Is RnB)

Director Yoann Lemoine recently voiced his thoughts on Drizzy's new music video.

News of such a minimalistic and artsy clip isn't all that surprising, as director Yoann Lemoine revealed to MTV News, "They seemed to be super close and that's what I wanted for the video. Visually, it's a very humble video. ... It's not crazy. It's actually the most indie video I've done my whole life. It's probably the most famous artists, and they were so open to a project that was so minimal." Lemoine isn't the only one who had high expectations for the visual, but also Drake himself. Back in December, Drizzy Drake admitted that he wanted the clip to be the best of his video catalog. "I want to make it perfect -- the best video I've done to date -- so I'm just taking my time," he said. (MTV)

In February, a still shot emerged online of Rih and Drizzy working on their video treatment.

Everyone who's anyone is in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards this week, but Rihanna and Drake shifted their focus for a few hours to shoot the music video for their collaboration "Take Care." The two stars shot with Yoann Lemoine, whose past music video works include Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," Taylor Swift's "Back To December," and Lana Del Rey's stunning "Born To Die" clip. "I just shot Drake & Rihanna's 'Take Care' video," Lemoine tweeted. "Beautiful track, amazing artists. EDITING NOW!" He also included a photo of himself with Drihanna on the set. Back on the Grammy front, RiRi and Drizzy are both nominated and hitting the stage this Sunday; Drake as a presenter and Rihanna will perform with Coldplay. (Neon Limelight)
