As rap star 50 Cent prepares to head down to Texas for the big annual South By Southwest music event this week, G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid sat down with SOHH and discussed the G-Unit front-man performing his 2003 LP Get Rich or Die Tryin' in its entirety.

Revealing he will be on-hand as Fif's personal deejay, Whoo Kid admitted how excited he is to see the platinum-selling rapper perform.

"Yeah, I'm going to be there with 50 performing the whole Get Rich or Die Tryin'. So I'm the deejay, I got hired again," Whoo Kid told SOHH when asked if he would be at the annual South By Southwest event this week. "I gotta deejay the whole, whole album. The whole Get Rick or Die Tryin' album. [How crazy is this?] It's f*cking nuts, man. It's gonna be amazing. I'm just amped over those records that I've always wanted him to perform, now he's gonna perform them. He's gonna do the whole thing so it's going to be a good look. I can't wait." (SOHH)

The performance is set to take place later this week at the Austin, Texas festival.

Shady 2.0 has officially announced the lineup for their SXSW concert. This year Shady fans are in for the show of a lifetime. 50 Cent will headline the event with a performance of his entire Get Rich or Die Tryin' album. Taking place on Friday night (Mar. 16), Sway will host the evening of hardcore hip-hop. Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse are also on the bill. Big K.R.I.T., School Boy Q, Action Bronson, Don Trip and more are also scheduled to perform. (VIBE)

Later today, rap mogul and former rival to Fif, Jay-Z,  will take center stage to perform at SXSW.

South by Southwest may be known for highlighting everyone from up-and-coming indie bands to rock royalty's biggest players, but the festival is also known for flashing the spotlight on rap. Case in point: For the second consecutive year, Jay-Z will stop by South by Southwest. Last year, Jay-Z was a special guest at Kanye West's showcase, and now, he's claiming his very own performance. Last year, 50 talked about wanting his next solo album to outperform his acclaimed platinum-selling debut.

"Iv been working I'm recording a lot for this album. I'm gonna keep recording cause I want to top get rich or die trying.," he tweeted May 29th.
"You can be mad cause you have to wait but you will be happy when it comes. I want it to be perfect." (50 Cent's Twitter)
