Holllywood star Adrienne Bailon is setting the record straight after making headlines this week with a red carpet photo showing her exposed lower body parts circulating online.
According to Bailon, it was the force of nature which caused her full frontal exposure.
"The wind blew and despite what other girls may do, this is really a terrible accident to me. I'm really upset, but I'm even more upset about what my parents might think. I want to be known for my talent. I love the idea of being sexy, but I've never been in this business to sell sex, I've been in this business to sell my talent. The truth is, when you look at the pictures, you don't realize that the wind really did blow my dress, and I don't really know what else to say about it." (Global Grind)
Despite what critics may think, rap mogul Russell Simmons said he told her it was no big deal.
"I told her, 'If you were my daughter I'd say who gives a damn, it's a mistake. Do the best you can and forget the results. If you have the best intentions, that's all that matters. You put on a sexy outfit, but the wind blew and you had no control. So now that it's done, nothing you can do it about it, except turn it into a branding exercise. Some girls do it on purpose, yours' was an honest mistake.'" (Global Grind)
The now-infamous photo of Bailon began circulating online Friday (March 2).
Adrienne Bailon, a former member of the Disney franchise The Cheetah Girls, is blaming the wind for causing a full-frontal-flash when being photographed at an NYC event. It didn't help that the 28 year-old pop starlet wasn't wearing any underwear. Bailon may be trying to shed a good girl image with some truly bad clothing choices. She rose to fame in 2000, after being discovered by pop star Ricky Martin, who gave her a spot in the girl group 3LW. (New York Daily News)
Recently, Bailon cleared the air on alllegedly being rap star Fabolous' love interest.
"We're over it. We're literally like three years into saying that I date Fab, and me and Fab, which are the people, we're over it," Bailon said referring to gossip claiming they are a couple. "We're friends. The same way that if you have a best friend, and you guys are both attending an event. If we're all a crew that hangs out together, you'll say, 'Yo, everybody's going at this time.' We'll literally be on a chat together, all of us on a BBM chat. That's like oh, we're all going at this time, dope. You'll pull up at this time, great. We'll all walk in together. That's not abnormal." ("The Cherry Martinez Show")
