After marijuana was located in his vehicle, Knight was arrested and taken into police custody.

Rap mogul Suge Knight was taken into custody by Las Vegas cops on Wednesday after they discovered an outstanding warrant on his record during a traffic stop. Knight was pulled over by police for making an unsafe lane change and while reviewing his details, the cops were alerted to a request for his immediate arrest stemming from minor traffic violations. The rap mogul is expected to appear in court around mid-March for a separate case.

Knight is due March 12 in Las Vegas Municipal Court, where court spokeswoman Jill Christensen said he was sought on a March 2009 warrant for failure to appear on three traffic violations -- following too closely, failure to surrender a suspended license plate and being a non-resident driving on a suspended or revoked driver's license. The original charges stemmed from a traffic stop in November 2008. No charge was immediately filed on the misdemeanor drug charge, which would be handled separately in Las Vegas Justice Court. Last August, Knight was convicted in a suspended licenese case.

Former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight has been sentenced to 36 months probation for driving on a suspended licence. The rap mogul was convicted after police pulled him over and impounded his black truck in Beverly Hills back in February.
