Young Money star Nicki Minaj continues to generate headlines this week by appearing in the new issue of Vogue magazine, discussing her dream maritial setting and how successful she could have been as an attorney.

Based on an excerpt from the feature, Nicki reflects on what could have been her career outside of music.

She recounts this from a Manhattan hotel suite, clad in leggings, a custom-bejeweled jacket from the Versace for H&M line (she performed at its extravagant launch), and an early-Marilyn Monroe fuchsia wig. Minaj also reveals a far soberer side than her stage act might indicate. "A huge part of me wanted to be a lawyer! I would do a really good job as a prosecutor," she alleges. That's not the singer's only alternative personality--famous for creating stage alter egos with names like Roman Zolanski, she confesses that she sometimes imagines herself clad in a bikini and high heels, cooking dinner for a breadwinning husband. Within the feature, she also admits a past habit of spending big bucks on clothing.

She also admits to previously spending $50,000 a month on designer shoes and bags. "Giuseppe, Versace, YSL, and Fendi shoes," she reveals. "I bought tons of Vuitton bags. When you're a young girl from Queens, you're going to stock up on those bags." But she doesn't want to be known as just a glamour girl and has plans to launch a foundation for young women. "The Nicki Minaj girl is a fun, artsy girl who can become a fierce force to be reckoned with on Wall Street!" she explains. "They hang on my every word, so I tell them, go to school, be ambitious. The worst position is to be financially dependent on the man." (Rap-Up)

The rapper is also featured in the new issue of Allure magazine, where she delves into wanting to take rap star Jay-Z's spot in hip-hop.

On our March cover, out today, Kim Kardashian is ultra natural. But our April cover, Nicki Minaj? The girl not only wears an orange wig in one shot in the magazine, she takes her always-electric style to the next level. Let's just say that when she saw the racks of clothes at the shoot, she steered clear of anything black. She also talked to us about her plans for world domination. (Well, practically--fragrance, a clothing line--you name it, she's planning it.) She told writer Judith Newman, "I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. He said, 'Congratulations on all your success.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm coming for you. I'm coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.'" With the platinum-selling success and accolades, Minaj recently said she has no plans of slowing down.

"Ugh! I have been working sooo much. Success came and now that so many eyes are on me, I feel I have to deliver. And it's a business. No joke. I guess I am stressing more than I should be, and I think I am becoming more guarded." (Paper Mag)
