Fans can expect to see drummer Questlove and rap star Jay-Z coming together in the near future as The Roots group member has revealed they have a secret project in the works.

While staying mum on the details, Quest has broken the news of their under-the-wraps project.

"He and I are actually working on a secret project," Quest revealed in an interview. "So I was kind of taking a break from working with him and he was like, 'Come by the [40/40 Club] opening,' so we're doing something real big in the next few weeks." (Hollywood TV)

Last month, Quest made headlines for revealing he is putting together a special decked out iPod for Jay and wife Beyonce Knowles-Carter.

Questlove has yet to present Blue Ivy Carter's baby gift to her parents because, he told us Wednesday, "I haven't finished it yet." At the grand reopening of the 40/40 Club, we asked The Roots' drummer when he planned to hand over the specially curated iPod with "12,000 songs" to Jay-Z and Beyoncé. (Rolling Stone reported that Quest has 77,000 LPs in his collection.) Questlove said that when he finally hands over his labor of love, the gift will come with one caveat: "It has to be played on an endless loop," he said. (New York Daily News)

Back in December, Jay hinted at plans to put together another Watch the Throne joint album.

"It depends on how this thing finishes up," Jay said in reference to his and Kanye's current Watch the Throne Tour. "We -- I say 'we' because I'm in Throne mode -- we're in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year. You know, we're really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone." (MTV)

In September, producer Pharrell Williams said Hov recruited him to make new records.

Skateboard P says he's in "full producer mode." During a private tasting for his new liqueur, Qream, Pharrell briefly touched on several artists he plans to get in the studio with. Pharrell insisted on keeping things quiet about producing new music for Jay-Z, but was able to confirm that he will be working with him in the near future. "Yes. I'm working with him but he's not talking about what he's doing. Whatever he needs I got him. I just can't go into [it]," P continued. "There's some magic." (VIBE)
