Nearly a week following the fatal car crash which ended the life of New York Knicks superstar Amar'e Stoudemire's brother, the NBA All-Star has come forward to say goodbye.

Hopping on Twitter, Amar'e credited his brother for fueling him and used a quote by the late Tupac Shakur.

"RIP Bra, You are the reason of my success. " It don't stop until the Casket drop. #2pac. Love you for ever!! I'll see you in Paradise...," he tweeted Saturday (Februay 11). (Amar'e Stoudemire's Twitter)

Details of Hazell Stoudemire's fatal car crash emerged online last Monday (February 6).

Hazell Stoudemire, the older brother of NBA star Amare Stoudemire, died early this morning in a car accident in Florida ... TMZ has learned. The accident happened on Route 27 in Lake Wales. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stoudemire was driving at a "high rate of speed" when he collided with the rear of a tractor trailer. He died on the scene. The fatal wreck reportedly took place shortly after midnight.

Hazell Stoudemire, the older brother of NBA player and Cypress Creek High star Amare Stoudemire, died early this morning in a crash on U.S. Highway 27 in Polk County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Hazell Stoudemire, 35, of Lakeland was traveling north on U.S. 27 south of County Road 17A just before 2 a.m. when his 2007 Cadillac Escalade collided with the back of a tractor trailer driven by Rupert A. A fixture in New York since joining the Knicks last year, Stoudemire previously denied speculation claiming he was dating hip-hop video vixen Amber Rose.

"I mean, we friends," Amar'e told radio host Angie Martinez when asked about his relationship with Rose. "We're pretty good friends. She's a buddy of mine. It all depends on what you call dating. I think we're not dating, we're friends. We're buddies, we're mutual friends. She's a cool girl to talk to. I'm pretty sure she feels the same way about myself. [Engagement rumors?] That's totally not true. No fiancee. No boo. No wifey. None of that. Hopefully one day. But I do got kids and a baby's mama. We're friends..." (Hot 97)
