Young Money star Nicki Minaj has opened up on the importance of holding it down at this month's Grammy Awards ceremony and why despite her recent success, she does not feel confident in winning any trophies.

Nominated in multiple categories, including best rap album and best rap performance, Nicki said she is uncertain if her time is now to start winning Grammy awards.

"When I was at the Grammys last year, it was like I didn't even exist. And then to now be performing and nominated, it's a big deal," Minaj said in an interview. "I'm not going to be nervous about winning because I really don't think I'm going to win anything. The way I look at it is, I know eventually, in my career, I'm going to have Grammys. This year is just about being nominated and feeling grateful, feeling like my fans and I have come a very long way and we're just going to celebrate this moment. Nothing else matters - winning, not winning, it doesn't matter. It just matters that they get to see a girl from the hood take these steps and continue to take these steps, just with hard work." While fans await Minaj's fate, her Young Money labelmate Drake is slated to present at the annual ceremony.

The official Grammy Awards Twitter account posted a message revealing the news Tuesday (Jan. 31). "Happy to announce that @Drake will be presenting at the 54th GRAMMY Awards Feb. 12th on @CBS! #GRAMMYs," a representative for the account tweeted. (The Boom Box)

Nicki will grace the performance stage with a line-up including country star Taylor Swift.

The performer roster for the upcoming 54th annual Grammy Awards is beginning to fill out and Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift are among the nominated ladies who will take the stage on the show. They'll have plenty of help from some of this year's other nominees, as Kelly Clarkson, the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean will also sing on the show. The show, which airs live on CBS on February 12, will mark the first Grammy performance for Aldean and Minaj. The Foos and Mars will go into the night with six nominations each, while Minaj is vying in four categories, including Best New Artist, where she'll face off against Bon Iver, Skrillex, J. Cole and the Band Perry. (MTV)

Rap star Kanye West leads this year's ceremony with the most Grammy nods.

Adele is up for six Grammys including song and record of the year, for Rolling in the Deep, and best album, for 21. Rapper Kanye West leads the field with seven, while Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters also have six each. Mars, also up for best song, record and album, said; "It feels incredible." British band Radiohead are up for five awards including best rock performance and song for Lotus Flower. Winners will be announced on February 12th. (BBC UK)

The 54th Grammy Awards will be televised Sunday, February 12th from Los Angeles.
