Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man may not be fighting in the ring, but Tical recently opened up about being inspired by former professional wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Asked to name some of his musical inspirations, Mef said Rock topped his list.

"I got so many, man. I can tell you where I get my showmanship from, what expires my showmanship on stage. Ralph Tresvant from New Edition. Great showman. Busta Rhymes. The Rock, from WWE. The way he used to cut promos--dude was like the truth when he cut promos, man," Method Man said in an interview. "Nobody can take that away from him. A lot of my stuff I get from WWE--a lot of my inspiration. Even though people know all the moves aren't real and sh*t, it's the way they sell them that makes it official. That's how I feel about my sh*t; if I can sell it, then no matter what I say, it's going to sound hot." (Global Grind)

Back in 2000, Method Man did Rock's "Know Your Role" theme song.

Run-D.M.C. - "The Kings" (D-Generation X) Kool Keith and Ol' Dirty Bastard - "Wreck" (Mankind) Method Man - "Know Your Role" (The Rock) Snoop Dogg & WC - "Hell Yeah" (Stone Cold Steve Austin) Redman and Rock of Heltah Skeltah featuring Peanut Butter Wolf - "No Chance" (Vince McMahon) C-Murder featuring Magic - "I Won't Stop" (Gangrel) Tha Eastsidaz - "Big Red Machine" (Kane) R.A. The Rugged Man - "Break Down the Walls" (Chris Jericho) Bad Azz and Techniec - "You Ain't Hard" (New Age Outlaws) Ice T - "Pimpin' Ain't Easy" (The Godfather) Mystikal and Ras Kass - "Game" (Triple H) Mack 10, K-Mac, Boo Kapone, and MC Eiht - "Big" (The Big Show) Dame Grease Presents Meeno - "Ministry" (The Undertaker) (WWF Aggression)

Not alone in his love for professional wrestling, rap star Rick Ross made headlines for taking part in a pay-per-view TNA event last month.

You might disagree, but to me, Rick Ross belongs to the upper class of celebrity that I can't imagine doing normal people things. Like, I can't imagine Prince running to the convenience store to buy a half gallon of milk. I can't imagine Jay-Z going to Target to buy a heated blanket and a candle. It's impossible to imagine those people interacting with normal folks. So, the fact that Rick Ross was just chilling with some of his people at the most recent pay-per-view for second-tier wrestling promotion TNA (TNA: Genesis), rubbing his hands and high-fiving wrestlers is about the funniest thing I've seen all day. Like, shouldn't he be running his Wing Stop franchise, or "dealing cocaine," or being a boss in some capacity that doesn't involve high fiving dudes in sweater vest coats or wearing cargo pants? Maybe those People articles are right: Celebrities are just like us! (Prefix Mag)

Recently, G-Unit leader 50 Cent name-dropped professional wrestler Shawn Michaels on his "Up" remix.

In 50 Cent's latest track "Up" featuring Loverance, Young Jeezy and T.I., 50 gives mention to the HBK aka the 'Heartbreak Kid.' Well the man who made that name famous, Shawn Michaels has thanked 50 for the shoutout. In the track, 50 says: "I be on that elite s***, that HBK, Heartbreak Kid Freak s***...." (This Is 50)
