Grammy-winning rapper Ludacirs is hoping his "My Chick Bad" collaborator Nicki Minaj walks home with gold this weekend by revealing she is his pick for "Best New Artist."

Applauding Nicki's talent, Luda admitted he could not say enough about how much she deserves the honor.

His pick for Sunday night is clear: He wants to see Nicki Minaj to win Best New Artist. He worked with the MC on 2010's "My Chick Bad," off his Battle of the Sexes album. "I'm looking forward to seeing Nicki Minaj. I love her. I'm glad I got a chance to work with her. I'm extremely proud of her," he said. "She's just scratching the surface of what she's capable of. So Nicki: keep doing your thing, girl." (MTV)

Recently, Nicki said she did not expect to win any trophies at the annual ceremony despite mulitple nominations.

"When I was at the Grammys last year, it was like I didn't even exist. And then to now be performing and nominated, it's a big deal," Minaj said in an interview. "I'm not going to be nervous about winning because I really don't think I'm going to win anything. The way I look at it is, I know eventually, in my career, I'm going to have Grammys. This year is just about being nominated and feeling grateful, feeling like my fans and I have come a very long way and we're just going to celebrate this moment. Nothing else matters - winning, not winning, it doesn't matter. It just matters that they get to see a girl from the hood take these steps and continue to take these steps, just with hard work." This week, Grammy-winning singer Slim of R&B crew 112 told SOHH both nominated rapper J. Cole and Nicki are deserving of the award.

"J. Cole is an amazing artist. I would love to work with him. He's a breath of fresh air," Slim told SOHH. "He's one of the cats that really does his thing. I think if he would have came out around the time I was out [in the 1990's], I think he would definitely have lasted this long. He's one of those artists I really enjoy and think he's just a breath of fresh air. And of course I like Nicki Minaj. Beautiful. It's about time there was a female to stand up and really put it down and not just be in a box. She touches on both sides of the situation. Sky's the limit is not even for Nicki Minaj. She's got the universe. I really enjoy artists who are bigger than just artists. They've become brands and then leading a legacy." (SOHH)

Rap star Kanye West leads this year's ceremony with the most Grammy nods.

Adele is up for six Grammys including song and record of the year, for Rolling in the Deep, and best album, for 21. Rapper Kanye West leads the field with seven, while Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters also have six each. Mars, also up for best song, record and album, said; "It feels incredible." British band Radiohead are up for five awards including best rock performance and song for Lotus Flower. Winners will be announced on February 12th. (BBC UK)

The 54th Grammy Awards will be televised Sunday, February 12th from Los Angeles.
