[You Came Up: Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name who they feel is the most underrated emcee in hip-hop. After Evitan's Dres named Jarobi last week, rapper Nems crowns the late Big Pun SOHH Underrated.]

Big Pun (SOHH Underrated)

For SOHH Underrated, I have to say Big Pun is my favorite rapper of all time. I feel like when it comes down to the classic rappers and the people that have died before their time, I feel like a lot of people don't mention Pun.

They'll say Biggie Smalls and they'll say 2Pac but they don't say Pun. To me, personally, his [1998 debut album] Capital Punishment is better than Ready 2 Die and better than 2Pac's first album. I feel like when it comes down to being mentioned in the classics and rappers that's dead, I feel like Pun doesn't get the credit he's supposed to.

With all of that being taken into consideration, I have to name him for SOHH Underrated. You have to put Big Pun in that category.

Nems has made the transistion from battle rapper to legitimate artist look easy. He is set to release his feature mixtape CONEY SOPRANO then drop an EP with FYL producer Nemisis called "The First Will & Testament Of A Real Nigga" and his sophmore LP "THA SECOND COMING OF NYCE" in 2012 .... as Nems would say "F*ck Your Lyfe Til Tha Casket Drops"
