SOHH Whatcha Think: Nas Names One Thing That Scares ALL Rappers + Is The YMCMB Wave Over?!

In the classic Hip Hop film, Belly Nas intelligent, but misguided character, Sincere kept hassling his wife about "moving to Africa." Which was funny, because Africa is a huge place -- he was never very specific about what part. You've got certain places there that no one wants to be.
No one. Not even the hardest U.S. rappers, who are afraid of Africa, Nas said during a press conference.
US rapper, Nas who has visited Africa three times already - once for his birthday and twice for corporate performances - has said that the reason why most of his colleagues never go to Africa is because they are afraid of the 'dark continent'.(Ghana Web)
The Queens MC added that, after visiting Africa, he found out that a lot of things he had previously been told about the continent were untrue. He also said that Hip Hop should play a bigger role in helping Africans out.
Answering questions at a recent press conference back home in the States, Nas said: "let's go straight to it, people are scared. There's horror stories about Africa that's out of this world... I went there and I figured out that there's been a lot of lies told to American people about what's going on there...One thing about us African-Americans and Africans is that we don't communicate, we don't talk, we don't see a reason to talk, we don't get along."He said hip-hop should find a way to communicate with Africa. He also raised questions about why rock stars like Bono seem to do so much in Africa and hiphop artists aren't.(Ghana Web)

SOHH Watcha Think -- Jay-Z and 50 Cent have made headlines for aiding Africans in need, should more rap artists step up and help out?
In other news ... has anyone noticed the last 3 Young Money releases have been pushed back? Sure, Drake blamed his album delay on sampling/clearing issues, but Tyga's CD is looking like LeBron's hairline more and more. Well, even Nicki Minaj has had her CD pushed back from February to April.
In a Twitter post, the Harajuku Barbie announced that the title for her sophomore LP will be Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, a nod to her alter-ego. The album is slated for release on February 14, 2012, or Valentine's Day. According to Cash Money co-CEO and founder Bryan "Baby" Williams, the Young Money rapstress is currently in the studio recording the effort.(Hip Hop DX)
Before Nicki dropped her first album, her buzz was crazy: Mad features, several singles and her loyal legion of "Barbz" were begging to spend their money on her debut disc. This time around, there's not a mega-single out there ... SOHH Watcha think -- will Nicki be able to build that buzz again before Roman's Revenge drops & will Tyga's CD ever see the light of day?
