United Kingdom rapper/singer M.I.A. has confirmed plans to head out to Indianapolis next weekend alongside Nicki Minaj and Madonna to perform at the annual Super Bowl game.

Discussing her excitement, M.I.A. also described Nicki and Madonna as female icons.

"Yes, I'm going to the Super Bowl. Actually I've never been to the Super Bowl, so it's my first time. I'm going to be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj. If you're gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go there with America's biggest female icons." (BBC Radio)

Last week, Minaj confirmed her Super Bowl status on Twitter.

"Super Bowl rehearsals w/the Queen ;) ----> RT @HumbleNika: @NICKIMINAJ what does your agenda contain today Nic? :)," she tweeted January 27th. (Nicki Minaj's Twitter)

Speculation recently developed suggesting Nicki and Madonna would grace next weekend's Super Bowl stage.

Madonna is only a few weeks away from her 12 minutes on stage as the featured performer for the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show. Madonna is expected to perform her new single, "Gimme All Yer Luvin'," which drops any day now; her new album, "M.D.N.A." is due this spring. The single features Nicki Minaj, and she is rumored to be joining Madonna for the Super Bowl event. (Anti Music)

Madonna will reportedly tease fans with their performance record later this week.

"The Material Girl is back on the dance floor!" Madonna's website announced on Sunday. Give Me All Your Luvin', MDNA's lead single, will debut on Americal Idol on Thursday night, and will go on sale the following day. Produced by French DJ Martin Solveig, this is the finished version of the demo that leaked in November, featuring MIA and Nicki Minaj. Madonna will also appear this evening on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. These appearances anticipate her Super Bowl XLVI performance this Sunday. More than 100 million people are expected to watch the American football game and the Material Girl's half-time set. MIA and Minaj will reportedly join her, while the video for Give Me All Your Luvin' is "football- and cheerleader-themed", according to a press release. (The Guardian)

The Super Bowl kicks off Sunday, February 5th at 6:30 PM EST.
