Newly signed Bad Boy Records rapper Machine Gun Kelly spent a night in a Florida jail this weekend after getting arrested on disorderly conduct following a performance.
While details are still emerging, MGK's arrest was posted on a local Florida sherriff's office website.
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly's tour took an unexpected stop early this morning -- to jail ... after he was busted by police in Florida for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. According to the website for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, MGK (real name Richard Baker) was busted at 4:12 AM and released a few hours later after posting $100 bond. MGK is currently touring and played the State Theatre in St. Petersburg last night. His next tour date is in Los Angeles on February 8. (TMZ)
The rapper also hopped on Twitter to dish out details of the jail experience..
"Just spent my entire night in a fucking Florida jall...sh*t escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though.," he tweeted January 29th.
"Thanking God that only half of us went to jail, that @216XPLOSIVE is outta the hospital, and that we get to go back to Cleveland today..."
"The weirdest part of it was how many inmates in there knew who I was and knew about the movement. It was some trippy shit. Lace the F*CK up" (Machine Gun Kelly's Twitter)
Last August, MGK was arrested at a Cleveland mall for leading a flash mob.
Cleveland rapper "Machine Gun Kelly" was arrested Saturday after inciting a flash mob at South Park Mall, Strongsville police said. Officers responded to the mall after being tipped off about a possible flash mob taking place at 5 p.m. Although he was asked by the SPD to refrain from standing on a table, Baker did it anyway, sending his die-hard fans into a frenzy. A YouTubevideo shows the rapper jumping up on a table with a megaphone in the food court, but just as soon as he was up, police officers yanked him down. (WJW-TV)
Despite the negative press, he quietly handled the fine days later.
The rapper accused of creating a flash mob at Southpark Mall on Saturday paid his fine and resolved the matter without stepping foot inside a courtroom. Colson Baker, aka Machine Gun Kelly, was scheduled to appear in Strongsville Mayor's Court Thursday. Instead, Baker sent over the payment for his ticket on Wednesday. (19 Action News)
