News: Jay-Z's Emotional "Glory" Tribute, Hospital Problems Spoofed [Audio]

While Jay-Z continues to welcome in fatherhood, the music mogul's "Glory" tribute record and recent hospital complaints have been spoofed in a new record called "Lenox Hill Glory"
Spoofed by comedian Rob Ryan, the theme centers on Jay and wife Beyonce Knowles-Carter allegedly paying over a million dollars to section off a Manhattan hospital.
"The most amazing feeling I feel, is closing down floor 6 at Lenox Hill," Ryan raps, "Baby I blocked the ICU, it's a pretty jerk move it's true... true... Sorry/Locked doors and blocked wards/Reinformced by my security guards/Didn't want people seeing/I made sure there was not a human being/This day belongs to Hova/So all babies go move on ova/Hurry. Scurry. Scurry. Sorry.../Everything that I paid for..., my own suite, I wish I would have paid more/God makes no mistakes, I made a few/Like not buying the whole Godd*mn ICU" ("Lenox Hill Glory")
No stranger to spoofing Hov, Ryan previously took aim at the rapper's "Empire State of Mind" anthem.
It's not the first time Ryan has poked fun at the legendary rapper. In 2010 he did a spot-on spoof of "Empire State of Mind" called "Newark State of Mind" that provided a cautionary tale to anyone tempted by the rock-bottom rents of New Jersey's gritty metropolis. The Long Island kid has moves and flow, and whatever he lacks in hip-hop cred is more than made up for in humor. Yet it's clear that these tributes are made in a spirit of respect and admiration for Jay-Z and Beyonce - he's spent some serious time listening to their music - so I hope they can laugh along with him, without, of course, confirming any of the accusations. In fact, why not invite Ryan over to the crib, which now contains an actual crib, to meet the new addition? (Blackbook Mag)
Earlier in the week, Lenox Hill Hospital executive director Frank Danza killed rumors surronding Jay's million-dollar payout.
"Lenox Hill Hospital and its staff were delighted to welcome the Carter family for the birth of their firstborn on Saturday evening, but we are troubled by the misinformation being circulated in some news media reports. The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true. The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations. Our executive suites are available for any patient, including the food service and amenities provided to the Carter family." (Statement)
Another hospital spokesman denied reports this week claiming other patients were mistreated in light of Jay and Bey presence.
New York health officials have reviewed and dismissed complaints patients in a hospital neonatal unit were mistreated while Beyonce was giving birth there to her and Jay-Z's daughter. Health department spokesman Jeffrey Gordon says they received two complaints about Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital. He says both were dismissed by Wednesday night. Beyonce gave birth to the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on Saturday. (Billboard)
