This line has upset Fred Hampton Jr., the son of the slain Black Panther leader. Man, at this point, it seems like the only person that Jay-Z can talk about without fear of repercussion is himself.
Hampton Jr. feels Jay disrespected his popsby down playing the way in which he died.
"Fred Hampton didn't die; he was assassinated," said Hampton Jr. "Saying Fred Hampton died is like the school teacher telling students that Christopher Columbus discovered America." He also went on to call Hov "Slave-Z" during a panel discussion at the University of Chicago."(Bossip)
Now here's the thing: Technically Jay was right - the man was assassinated, which led to death. So, it may be sort of a reach to be mad over a thing like that, but hey, dude has every right. As long as he doesn't drop a mixtape going at Hov in the near future. SOHH do you think the line was insulting?
